About Breanna Smallman

Background & Experience

Breanna Smallman is a family lawyer based in Kamloops, British Columbia. Her practice focuses entirely on family law — helping individuals and families navigate separation, divorce, parenting arrangements, support matters, property division, and protection orders.

Before becoming a lawyer, Breanna worked as a legal assistant and then a paralegal. That experience gave her a first-hand understanding of how the legal process works — from document preparation and court filings to client communication and case management. Her JD from Thompson Rivers University built on that foundation.

With over a decade in the legal field, she has worked through the full range of what family law looks like in practice — straightforward separations, complex parenting disputes, support calculations, and contested property matters.

Having previously practised with Gagnon Law Corporation, Breanna established Smallman Family Law to work more directly with clients. She handles every file personally — you always know who is working on your matter and can reach them when you need to.
